Professional Information:
Dr. André Mariz de Almeida is exclusively dedicated to clinical practice in the areas of Orofacial Pain, TMD, Bruxism, and Dental Sleep Medicine. He has been a professor at the Egas Moniz School of Health and Science since 2003, also in the areas of Orofacial Pain, Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD), TMJ, and Oral Rehabilitation. Throughout his career, he has coordinated several courses and postgraduate programs in these areas, published more than 50 scientific articles, and collaborated on about 20 book chapters. He was also the coordinator of four reference works on Orofacial Pain and TMD. He is president and co-founder of the Portuguese Society of Temporomandibular Dysfunction, Orofacial Pain, and Sleep (SPDOF).
Academic Information:
Graduated in 2003 in Dental Medicine from the Egas Moniz School of Health and Science, he completed a Master's degree in Temporomandibular Dysfunction and holds a PhD from the University of Granada in Medicine and Public Health in the area of infiltrative treatment in temporomandibular dysfunction.
